Movie Comments

In case you haven't picked up this little tidbit about me: I'm a movie-holic. I saw two more movies last week. Capote and Valiant. We have Netflix so I get about 3 movies a week. I currently also have The Squid and the Whale, but I haven't had time to watch it yet. We will get Memoirs of a Geisha tomorrow or the next day. I enjoyed the book when I read it about five years ago. When it first came out I wasn't too keen on seeing it. Since then I've heard that it is just beautiful and I'm lookikng forward to it.

Capote. Wow. I don't know that much about Truman Capote, but I found this to an interesting movie. My dad says that it is a pretty accurate portrayal of him (i.e., mannerisms, voice, etc.). I have In Cold Blood on reserve at the library right now.

Valiant. Meh. We had family movie night on Friday and it was good enough to keept the kids' attention, but I found myself wandering a lot. It was average. If your kids are interested in it, rent it. If they haven't asked, skip it.
