I'm Definitely Going On This Journey
Husband and I are taking two days for ourselves and driving to Colorado Springs to stay at the Broadmoor Hotel. It's our anniversary present to each other. He's going to play golf and I'm going to relax at the spa. We'll meet up again around dinner time.
To some people our method of vacationing is a mystery. Why would we go on vacation only to do separate activities? And spend most of our day apart? And only see each other at dinner? Well, let me explain it to you. We don't like doing the same things. Yes, it really is that simple.
Would you really want to spend the money on a vacation where you don't get to do anything you like? Neither would we. He likes to be outdoors hiking or playing golf; I would rather listen to the soothing sounds of nails on a chalkboard than exert that kind of energy on vacation. Instead, I like to read by the pool, preferably in a cabana, or spend my day at the spa; Husband would rather slit his wrists than "waste" his time like that. So we do our own things and then we have so much to talk about at dinner that we have terrific conversation. And we all know what terrific conversation leads to...a good night's sleep.
So while he's off spoiling a nice walk by playing golf (thank you, Mark Twain, for nailing that), I will be enjoying THIS treatment at the spa:
Journey to Nirvana Wrap & Massage (80 minutes): If you are looking for a body treatment and massage combination that will transport you to paradise, then this is the treatment for you. It includes a relaxing wrap to soothe and calm the mind and body before a traditional abayanga massage is provided. A Tibetan bowl foot massage and sedating marma point head massage is also provided.
There is no question I'm going to Nirvana. The question is whether I'll ever come back.
