Things I Heard This Week
Wild Thing danced around the playroom being supremely silly. She looked me straight in the eye and said, "Hubba, hubba." Max had been playing with his cars successfully ignoring his sister until this last part.
Max: Ha! I bet you don't even know what hubba hubba means!
Me: Do you?
Max: It's Hawaiian. It means love.
You may remember that I taught Wild Thing how to do sudoku a while ago. Here's what she had to say about it this week.
Wild Thing: I know why they made sudoku--to make you more smarter.
Me: Yep. Some people really like to challenge their brains.
WT: I’m definitely challenging my brain. And my brain is winning!
I have to say I enjoy a little Johnny Cash. Wild Thing and I will listen to his songs together and sing. While listening to Ring of Fire, we had this conversation. Just so you know, I have never discussed any lyrics with her.
Wild Thing: He’s in love.
Me: Why do you say that?
WT: Well, the ring of fire is love, right? And he fell in? So he fell in love. He’s in love.
