Great Things that Happened to Chilihead this Week

1. Shannon wouldn't let me slash any tires, but did allowed me to watch Corrie while she dealt with the law. As soon as Shannon's Hubs dropped off Corrie, I strapped her into her car seat and we were off to the grocery store. The first thing out of her mouth as we pulled out of the driveway was, "Hey, Chee wee! Guess what?" And she never stopped talking. I heard, "Hey, Chee wee!" About a badillion, jillion times that day and it never got old. I loved having her around and hearing her call me Chee wee.
2. When Shannon picked up Corrie after her draining morning at court she still had the wherewithal to compliment me. In all of our dump and stash decorating to remove the wall, things were found that were not even known to be missing. One of those things was a small box of pictures from my high school years. Shannon picked up one of the pictures--my senior portrait--and exclaimed, "You're even more beautiful now! Who is more beautiful as they get older? My!" The Southern Genteelness would drive me batty if it weren't me she was talking about. After all, who indeed unless it's me? Is she not the nicest person on the earth? Seriously y'all. She's a keeper.
3. Laylee knows who I am and likes my schnoz. Unfortunately, I have not been able to procure her a schnoz of her own. Sadness on my part. I shall not rest, Laylee, until you are in possession of a Chili schnoz. This is important because it is a well-known fact you can never lose a Daring family free-style rap battle if you are wearing the schnoz.
4. When I was feelin' down and blue, Emily made me laugh. And laugh. And laugh. AND LAUGH. And then everything was good again.
